Health Camp

Our rural community health care programme is developed in inspiration of the Lalpur (Hardoi) project of Dr. Sandeep Pandey and the Asha Ashram at Kanpur. This programme provides complete health care facility to the people belonging to the remote rural & backward area, specially the area having primary health center unapproachable. This main object is achieved by the organization by organizing medical check-up camps in that area, distribution of free medicine, training to the social workers, volunteers, training to the indigenous therapist i.e. village based untrained health workers because in many places they cannot be ignored due to their strong position in the society. Educating the people regarding health awareness through culture related activities. The organization tries to involve the key persons of that area and also the Gram Panchayat in the programme to achieve its object in more effective way. For achieving this object the organization has a team of doctors of various specialized fields viz. Medicine, Psychiatry, Clinical psychology, Social work etc.

At present, the Centre is running its activities in the village Sawayajpur, Gram Panchayat- Sawayajpur, Block- Sarsaul, District- Kanpur (U.P.) for last one and half year. Population of Gram Panchayat is more than 20,000(approx). Primary Health Centre is about 10 Kms far away from this village and so poorly linked with the village that people never avail the facilities of Primary health Centre. We wish to develop the village as a model for primary health care involving community resources.
